Connection

butterfly

The chimes

ring soft and sweet,

light and floating on air

like butterflies gliding upon

the wind.

The wind

swirls and tumbles,

caressing yet teasing;

whirling and twirling past green leaves

and grass.

The grass

prickly tickles,

cool under feet in shade

while along a blade in haste crawls

an ant.

The ant,

with aim and skill,

ever so quickly moves

along the blade in the shade

near me.

I hear

the chimes ring clear;

I embrace the wind’s touch.

I see the little ant and God

sees me.
